Zhipei Sun

Professor Zhipei Sun leads the Photonics research group at Aalto University's Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering. His work focuses on nanomaterials for photonic and optoelectronic applications, including 2D materials, van der Waals heterostructures, and quantum technologies. He has been recognized as a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher three times (2021–2023). His research explores nonlinear optics, chiral nanomaterials, and ultrafast photonics, with applications in energy, sensing, and telecommunications.
