Yubeen Kim is a Professor of Flute at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) and Principal Flutist of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra since 2024. Previously, he served as Principal Flute of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin (2016–2023) and frequently guested with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. His career spans prestigious orchestras globally, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony and Zagreb Philharmonic. Kim’s education includes studies at the Lyon and Paris Conservatories, culminating in a Konzertexamen from Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin.
- Received ARD (2024), Prague Spring (2023), and Geneva (2014) competition prizes.
- Released debut album Poème on Sony Classical in 2024.
