Yeisid Figueredo

Dr. Yeisid Figueredo is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine) at Yale School of Medicine and serves as Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. She also directs the NICU Transport Program, coordinating critical care for newborns across regions. Her career began in child neurology nursing before transitioning to neonatology, driven by a commitment to improving outcomes for critically ill infants.

Dr. Figueredo's research focuses on:

• Innovative neonatal care strategies for premature infants
• Enhancing outpatient follow-up systems for bronchopulmonary dysplasia
• Quality improvement in NICU clinical workflows
• Family-centered care models in high-risk neonatal settings

Her leadership includes overseeing the NICU at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and previously chairing Pediatrics at Waterbury Hospital. She mentors future medical leaders and advances clinical protocols through research collaborations.
