Wil Fine is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric (PWR) at Pennsylvania State University. He joined Penn State in 2002 as adjunct faculty at Altoona College and transitioned to a full-time role at University Park in 2005. His teaching spans composition, rhetoric, and advanced writing courses.
Education: M.A. in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2002), B.A. in English from the University of Pittsburgh (1999). He also completed additional coursework in instructional design, multimedia, and adult education at IUP.
Wil's research focuses on visual/digital rhetorics, composition theory, and critical theory. He has contributed to curriculum development, including revamping the Freshman Composition Survey at the University of Pittsburgh’s Johnstown Campus and advising the literary magazine Backroads.
Professional experience includes teaching at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh’s Johnstown Campus, where he integrated technology and pedagogical innovation into writing programs.
