Christopher Doxtator

Christopher Doxtator is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department at the University of Colorado Denver, where he teaches writing courses at CU Denver's International College of Beijing. His academic background includes an MA from CU Denver in rhetoric and the teaching of writing, and he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

His research interests focus on:

• Composition studies and pedagogy
• Applied linguistics with emphasis on language-place-activity relationships
• Rhetorical theory
• Multimedia composition
• Language theory applications

Dr. Doxtator teaches a comprehensive range of writing and literature courses including Core Composition I and II, Storytelling: Literature, Film & Television, Language Theory, Multimedia Composition, and Communication & Research Writing. His work bridges traditional composition studies with contemporary multimedia approaches to writing instruction.

As an active doctoral candidate, his scholarly work continues to develop at the intersection of composition theory and applied linguistics, with particular attention to how physical and social contexts shape language use and writing practices.
