Ulrich Krause

Professor Ulrich Krause serves as Chair of Plant Engineering and Plant Safety at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg's Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering since 2011. His research establishes scientific foundations for plant safety through advanced mathematical and experimental methods, addressing critical gaps in technology risk assessment.

Research spans combustion dynamics of solids/liquids, self-ignition mechanisms, silo/hazard simulations, and explosion protection system validation through experimental and computational fluid dynamics approaches.

Professor Krause leads research groups in Renewable Energies and Fluidized Bed Technology, collaborating with Berlin Fire Department, Siemens AG, BAM Federal Institute, TU Dresden, Dräger Safety, and ZVEI electronics association to translate theoretical safety concepts into industrial applications.
