Tyrone Jaeger is a Professor at Hendrix College, holding the Margaret Berry Hutton Odyssey Professorship with Maxine Payne titled 'Audiovisual Arkansas: Citizen Storytellers.' He specializes in creative nonfiction, fiction, hybrid literature, and digital storytelling. His academic background includes a B.A. from Rollins College (1990), M.A. (2004), and Ph.D. (2008) from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Jaeger’s research and creative work emphasize innovative narrative forms and regional storytelling. His publications include the novel Radio Eldorado (2020), the short story collection So Many True Believers, and cross-genre novella The Runaway Note. His writing has appeared in journals such as the Oxford American, Southern Humanities Review, and High Desert Journal.
He has received prestigious awards including the Porter Fund Literary Prize and Frank O'Connor Award for Short Fiction. Collaborating with the Hendrix-Murphy Foundation, he organizes events featuring global award-winning authors, fostering literary engagement on campus.
