Travis Jones

Travis Jones, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Economics & Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), part of the Lutgert College of Business. His research focuses on investments, derivative securities, real estate, and finance pedagogy. He has published in journals such as the Financial Services Review, Journal of Financial Education, and Journal of Investments.

Dr. Jones is affiliated with the Academy of Financial Services, Financial Education Association, American Real Estate Society, and CFA Institute. He serves on the board of directors for CFA Society Naples. Before academia, he worked as a futures and options broker and a swim coach. His professional interests and hobbies include running, swimming, and family activities.
