Thomas Mathews

Thomas Mathews is an Instructor in the Department of Economics & Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), part of the Lutgert College of Business. He holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University, New Jersey. His teaching focuses on Business Finance and Security Analysis, while his research interests include pedagogical issues and banking.

• Experience: Over 30 years in banking, including roles as Treasurer at two banks and CFO of Spencer Savings Bank in NJ.
• Affiliations: Currently serves on the Board of the CFA Society Naples.
