Tom Wing

Tom Wing is an Assistant Professor and Director at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith within the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy. With over 23 years of combined adjunct and full-time faculty experience at UAFS, he bridges academic and practical historical expertise.

• Doctoral Candidate in Resource Interpretation at Stephen F. Austin State University (In Progress)
• MLS in History from University of Oklahoma (2000)
• BSE in Social Studies from University of Arkansas (1988)
• BA in Anthropology from University of Arkansas (1987)

His research focuses on historical interpretation, cultural resource management, and social sciences education. Prior roles include 10 years as a secondary social studies teacher and 8 years as a park ranger/historian for the National Park Service.
