Brenda Lackey

Dr. Brenda Lackey is a Professor at the College of Natural Resources, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources from the University of Idaho, an M.S. in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a B.S. in Forestry from Southern Illinois University.

Her research focuses on environmental interpretation and communication, program evaluation, and visitor studies. She has extensive professional experience in natural resources management and education, including roles as a park ranger and manager of research programs.

Dr. Lackey serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Natural Resources and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Interpretation Research. She co-authored the influential The Interpreters Guidebook, and actively participates in academic leadership through her board membership at the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) since 1989.
