Tina Daniel

Dr. Tina Daniel is a Lecturer and Researcher at the Australian Centre for the Advancement of Literacy, part of the Faculty of Education and Arts at Australian Catholic University. She specializes in early literacy instruction and has taught in diverse educational settings across the United States and Australia.

Her doctoral research investigated teacher perspectives on early reading instruction, examining social-discursive and socio-political factors influencing practice. Her current research focuses on psychological, linguistic, and environmental correlates of literacy acquisition, trauma-informed teaching, and systemic impacts on reading education. She maintains the Reading Teachers Australia network for educators.

Her publications emphasize pedagogical innovation, teacher adaptation to changing learning environments, and strategies for supporting disadvantaged students.
