Joanne Ruth Quick

Dr. Joanne Ruth Quick serves as Deputy Head for Canberra and Regional NSW at Australian Catholic University's School of Education. As a Research Fellow, her work focuses on literacy education, socio-cognitive research, and intervention strategies in Australian primary education.

Her research examines literacy development challenges, text selection practices in teacher education, and socio-cognitive aspects of learning. Recent publications explore paradoxes in children's language learning, literacy intervention mapping across Australian states, and evidence-based approaches to reading instruction.

Dr. Quick has published extensively in education journals including Australian Journal of Language and Literacy and Journal of Language and Literacy Education, contributing to our understanding of literacy practices and educational interventions.
