Professor Anne Castles is an ARC Laureate Professor at the Australian Catholic University (ACU), affiliated with the Faculty of Education and Arts and the Australian Centre for the Advancement of Literacy. Her research focuses on reading acquisition, reading disorders, and the cognitive, linguistic, and genetic factors influencing literacy development. She emphasizes translating research into practical assessments and interventions.
