Thomas Rüedi

Thomas Rüedi is the International Visiting Professor of Euphonium at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). He is a renowned soloist, performing with orchestras and bands across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the USA, including regular engagements with the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich. He co-founded the duo Synthesis with marimbaphone virtuoso Raphael Christen.

In addition to his performance career, Rüedi is a respected educator, serving as a euphonium tutor at Bern University of the Arts and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He frequently gives masterclasses globally as a guest tutor. Beyond performance and teaching, he is active as a conductor, arranger, and composer.

Rüedi’s work spans multiple disciplines, combining instrumental mastery with pedagogical innovation. His contributions to euphonium repertoire and orchestral brass performance are widely recognized.
