Thomas McDade

Thomas McDade is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Northwestern University and a Faculty Fellow. He directs the Laboratory for Human Biology Research and co-directs Cells to Society (C2S): The Center on Social Disparities and Health.

• Studied social, economic, and cultural transitions' impact on health in Bolivia
• Investigated inflammation regulation in the Philippines using a 20-year cohort study
• Examines social status and neighborhood factors in the US transition from adolescence to young adulthood

His work integrates biological measures into social science research, focusing on stress, health, and life course perspectives on immune function.
