Thomas F. Haddox is a Professor in the Department of Literature at the University of Tennessee, specializing in 20th-century American literature, religion-spirituality intersections, and Southern/Appalachian studies. He holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and has held the Lindsay Young Professorship (2017-2021). His research bridges literary theory, history, and aesthetics, with notable works including Hard Sayings (2013) and Fears and Fascinations (2005).
