Dr. Taylor Orellana is an Assistant Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, an NCI-designated facility. She specializes in comprehensive care for gynecologic pre-cancers, cancers, and complex benign conditions, including open surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and chemotherapy. Her clinical practice spans two locations: MUSC Women's Health at Hollings Cancer Center and Florence Medical Center.
Dr. Orellana earned her undergraduate degree in Health Science from Clemson University, followed by medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her OB/GYN residency and Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Her research focuses on endometrial cancer management, tumor molecular classification, and healthcare cost-effectiveness. She actively promotes cervical cancer prevention through HPV vaccination advocacy and emphasizes the importance of routine cervical cancer screening.
Dr. Orellana is a key contributor to MUSC's multidisciplinary oncology team, offering advanced treatments and participating in cutting-edge research initiatives at Hollings Cancer Center.
