Tapiwa Madimu

Dr. Tapiwa Madimu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at Rhodes University, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities. He holds a BA (Hons) in Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), an MA in African Economic History from UZ, and a PhD in History from Stellenbosch University.

His research focuses on social and economic history, particularly agricultural, mining, and financial history in Africa. He also examines peacebuilding initiatives and the experiences of marginalized communities. Dr. Madimu teaches courses on African and global history.
