Tabatha Easley is a renowned Professor of Flute and Coordinator of Winds at Virginia Commonwealth University, with a career spanning international performance, education, and commissioning new works. Born in Alaska, she has performed on six continents and is celebrated for her collaborations with orchestras including the Richmond Symphony, Charlottesville Symphony, and international ensembles in Colombia and Japan.
- Doctoral degree from the Eastman School of Music (first Alaskan to achieve this)
Research Interests: Ms. Easley specializes in music of the Americas and works by women composers, with a focus on expanding flute repertoire through over 20 commissions and premieres. Her CD Hair, Cloth, Thread highlights contemporary flute and percussion collaborations.
