As Principal Investigator, he designs evidence-based policy tools like the Nest Egg outcome auction and Tradable Recharge Credits system. His advisory roles span government panels including the Reef 2050 Independent Expert Panel (2017-2022).
The Sustainability Pathways program under his direction operates cross-disciplinary teams developing transition pathways for net zero economies and biodiversity conservation. Current initiatives engage Indigenous knowledge systems in landscape management and model regional economic impacts of decarbonization, with active partnerships across federal/state governments and industry.
