Steven Pryjmachuk is Professor of Mental Health Nursing Education in the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at the University of Manchester's School of Health Sciences. His research focuses on children and young people's mental health services, self-care support interventions, and occupational stress in healthcare professions. He has led major NIHR-funded studies including the Blueprint project on service design for youth mental health.
His work develops evidence-based models for primary care mental health support and evaluates self-care strategies for chronic conditions. Methodologically, he employs mixed-methods approaches including systematic reviews, case studies, and participatory research designs.
