Steve Snell

Steve Snell is an Associate Professor and The Sosland Family Chair of Foundation Studies Bio, known for his community-based and adventure-driven art practice. His work spans installations, films, and participatory projects, often intersecting with environmental and social themes.

• M.F.A. in Studio Art, University of Massachusetts Amherst (2011)
• B.F.A. in Painting and B.S. in Art Education, Miami University (2006)

His research interests include adventure art, environmental interventions, and community collaboration. Notable projects include floating the Connecticut River in a couch-boat and a 2014 artist residency along the Chilkoot Trail in Alaska/British Columbia. His work has been exhibited at festivals like Aspen Shorts Fest and Currents New Media Festival in Santa Fe.
