Simon Halfmeyer is a Lecturer and Teacher for Special Tasks at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences, based in Alfter near Bonn. He holds roles in the Faculty of Visual Arts, specifically in the Department of Painting. Born in Hamburg (1974), he studied Fine Arts at the Muthesius Hochschule Kiel (1999–2001) and the HBK Braunschweig (2001–2005), later becoming a master student under Raimund Kummer (2004–2005). He has been active in artist collectives like the Prima Kunst e.V. (2000–2003) and Cluster-Berlin (2006–2008).
