Dr. Silke Stroh is a Lecturer in Postcolonial Studies at the University of Oldenburg’s Institute for English and American Studies. She holds a habilitation from the University of Münster (2022) and a PhD from the University of Frankfurt am Main (2006). Her academic career includes roles such as Acting Professor at the University of Koblenz and Adjunct Lecturer at the Universities of Basel and Koblenz. She specializes in postcolonialism, transculturality, and diaspora studies, with a focus on Scotland, New Zealand, Canada, Africa, and the Black diaspora.

Her recent focus includes Black Scottish writers and Indigenous cosmopolitanism.
