Siff Pors

Siff Pors is a Lecturer at the Department of English, Germanic and Romance Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen, where she has taught since 1991. Her academic journey includes a Master's Degree in English (1983) from the University of Copenhagen, followed by research engagements at The Medieval Centre (Copenhagen and Odense Universities) focusing on medieval literature and cultural studies.

Her research explores diverse facets of English literature, with specialization in:

• Arthurian Legends – analyzing historical and cultural adaptations
• Medieval Studies – particularly textual and symbolic interpretations
• Literary periods – spanning all eras of English literature
• Translation methodologies and textual analysis techniques

Her publications (1988–1999) demonstrate a consistent focus on T.H. White's reinterpretations of Arthurian lore, pagan symbolism in medieval narratives, and the cultural endurance of legendary motifs. This work intersects literary criticism, folklore, and historical contextualization.
