Shelby Roberts is a Professor of Teaching in the Department of Art at the Claire Trevor School of the Arts, University of California, Irvine. He has been teaching there since 1997. His work focuses on photographing human-built environments, including ancient neolithic sites, industrial-age structures, and border fences. Roberts holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts (NYC, 1987) and an MFA from California Institute of the Arts (1990).
