Sharon Smith

Sharon Smith is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Worcester's School of Education, specializing in Education and Inclusion. She joined as a full-time faculty member in 2013 with prior experience in Further Education and teaching diverse learners including those with learning difficulties and disabilities. Her work focuses on training teaching assistants and early years practitioners.

She holds an MA Education, BA (Hons) Education, and PgCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (with Distinction). Her qualifications include Senior Fellowship status in the Higher Education Academy.

Her research explores inclusive education strategies, educational support systems, and accessibility solutions. She develops online resources like SCIPS (Strategies for Creating Inclusive Programmes of Study) and leads projects on student-centered adult learning engagement in higher education.

Smith has been recognized as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy for her contributions to educational excellence.
