Shannan Hibbard is an Assistant Professor of Vocal Music Education at Wayne State University, where she teaches undergraduate music education courses and coordinates student teaching experiences in vocal and general music. Previously, she served as adjunct faculty at Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan-Flint.

Her pedagogical approach is shaped by formative experiences in a cappella church traditions and diverse musical practices spanning traditional choirs, Ghanaian music, and contemporary opera.
