Scott Carson is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at George Mason University. He completed his integrated Master's degree and PhD in Mathematics at the University of York, with doctoral research on 'Semigroup and Monoid Presentations' supervised by Professor Victoria Gould.
His research focuses on algebraic structures, particularly semigroup presentations and related semigroup products. Current investigations extend previous work on explicit semigroup presentations and algebraic properties. Carson teaches courses in mathematics with emphasis on foundational and advanced algebraic concepts.
