Victoria Gould is Professor of Mathematics at the University of York with extensive experience in algebraic research and supervision. Her research focuses on semigroup theory, endomorphism monoids, and algebraic structures.
Primary research interests include structure theory for semigroups, endomorphism monoids of universal algebras, semigroups of quotients, S-acts over monoids, and T-posets. Recent work emphasizes free idempotent generated semigroups.
Current doctoral students include Levent Dasar and Jamie Smith. Professor Gould maintains editorial roles at Semigroup Forum and serves as Vice President of the European Mathematical Society.
