Sarah Smith is Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the MSc Radiotherapy & Oncology in Practice (Pre-Registration) at Sheffield Hallam University. A registered Therapeutic Radiographer with clinical experience in head and neck cancer and paediatric oncology, her research focuses on treatment-related side effects and quality of life studies.
She is currently pursuing doctoral research evaluating creative therapy interventions for head and neck cancer patients experiencing late effects. Her work emphasizes service user involvement in healthcare education and developing support strategies for patients living with long-term treatment consequences.
Smith has contributed to developing interprofessional e-learning resources and evaluating international radiotherapy education programs. She serves as a Fitness to Practise Panel Member for the Health and Care Professions Council.
