Keeley Rigby

Keeley Rigby is a Senior Lecturer in Radiotherapy and Oncology at Sheffield Hallam University's College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. She serves as the practice learning tutor at Royal Derby Hospital and course leader for the degree apprenticeship in therapeutic radiography, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Her research focuses on enhancing radiotherapy patient experiences through innovative technologies and protocols. Key areas include:

• 3D Stereophotogrammetry for immobilisation device evaluation
• Patient dignity and comfort in radiation therapy
• Self-catheterisation for bladder cancer
• Modesty in cancer treatment
• Post-treatment quality of life improvement

The CELEBRATE study (2024) examined end-of-treatment bell rituals, while RESPIRE and Support 4 All projects address breath-hold coaching and breast immobilisation devices respectively. Her work combines technical innovation with humanistic care approaches.

Keeley teaches BSc and MSc programs in Radiotherapy & Oncology, integrating clinical practice with academic instruction. She previously worked as a radiographer at St James' Hospital and served as a Moving and Handling trainer. Additional activities include:
