Sandra Borden is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Communication at Western Michigan University, where she co-directs the Center for the Study of Ethics in Society. She holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from Indiana University and an M.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University. Her research focuses on journalism ethics and media theory, with notable contributions to the field of applied ethics in communication.
Her key publications include Journalism as Practice: MacIntyre, Virtue Ethics and the Press (2008), which won the Clifford G. Christians Ethics Research Award and the NCA’s top book award in applied ethics.
