Sandra Blanke

Sandra Blanke is an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Dallas, affiliated with the Gupta College of Business. She serves as the Director of the Center for Cyber Security Education and holds the Ellis Endowed Chair in Management Technology. Dr. Blanke holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Systems and is a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and CRISC (Certification in Risk and Information Systems Control) certified expert.

Her research and teaching focus on Cyber Security, Risk Management, Disaster Recovery, Emerging Technologies, and Cyber Insurance. She teaches in the Master's and Doctoral Programs, emphasizing real-world business applications. Prior to academia, she spent over 20 years in corporate technology roles at Verizon and GTE Communications, leading teams in enterprise technology and network operations.

Her professional engagements include panel discussions on cybersecurity (e.g., Texas Dean’s Association, Chamber of Commerce events) and presentations at conferences like HIMSS. Dr. Blanke is passionate about integrating emerging technologies into academia and addressing their ethical and security implications.
