Samuel Pang

Samuel Pang is an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Orchestras at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. A Hong Kong native, he is a conductor, violist, educator, and theology student actively bridging music and interdisciplinary studies.

• Education: Master of Music, Bachelor of Music, and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music; Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies from Regent College (currently pursuing a Master of Theological Studies).

His research focuses integrate music education, orchestral conducting, and theological exploration, particularly examining Christianity and the Arts. As a performer, he has conducted in prestigious venues like Vienna’s Musikverein and Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center, with broadcasts on Radio Television Hong Kong. His teaching has earned exceptional recognition, including 51 student nominations for the Vanderbush Weller Award despite being in his first year at Hope College.
