Samuel K Cohn is Professor of Medieval History at the University of Glasgow's School of Humanities. His research focuses on popular insurrection, plague history, and disease impacts from antiquity to modern times. He leads ERC-funded projects on art and inequality in Renaissance Italy and transnational plague studies. Professor Cohn is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and honorary fellow at multiple institutes.
Research interests include the socio-psychological impacts of epidemics, inequality studies, and historical protest movements. His work integrates humanities with biological sciences to explore pandemic responses across history.
