Samira Ramezani is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences, University of Groningen. She specializes in urban mobility, accessibility, and participatory planning with a focus on health and wellbeing. Her work integrates land-use and transportation planning while addressing equity and sustainability challenges. She leads the AccessCity4All project (NWO-funded) exploring the 15-minute city concept's applicability across diverse urban contexts.

Research interests span mobility lifestyles, policy packaging for integrated planning, and justice in transit-oriented development. She has secured European Crucible seed funding for a multidisciplinary project on green/blue spaces and led the HUPMOBILE project on Baltic Sea port city mobility management.
Active in peer review for International Journal of Sustainable Transportation and guest lectures at TU Munich. Supervises multiple PhD projects on topics like TOD equity, peripheral area accessibility, and policy packaging.
