Samir Ghannam

Dr. Samir Ghannam is a Senior Lecturer in the Accounting Discipline Group at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Business School. His research focuses on corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, director labor markets, and board diversity. He holds a PhD and a Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Accounting from UTS. Dr. Ghannam has been a visiting scholar at MIT, Bocconi University, and HEC Paris. He teaches business valuation analysis at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

His research has been published in top-tier journals like The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research, and cited in media including Forbes. He supervises master's and PhD students in accounting disciplines. Dr. Ghannam speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and Arabic, with advanced proficiency in Ukrainian and Russian for academic peer review. His funded research projects include studies on CEO succession planning and bias in independent expert reports.
