Salah Mahmud is a Professor in Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba's Max Rady College of Medicine. He holds the Canada Research Chair in Pharmaco-epidemiology and Vaccine Evaluation and serves as founding director of the Vaccine and Drug Evaluation Centre and the Clinical Trials Platform of the Manitoba CIHR SUPPORT Unit. As a clinician researcher for Manitoba Health's Population & Public Health division, his work bridges epidemiology and public policy.
He is a member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars and associate editor of Preventive Medicine. His research focuses on drug/vaccine development and real-world effectiveness, advising national and international committees on immunization policies.
