Sagal Yusuf

Sagal Yusuf is a Chief Clinical Respiratory Physiologist and Head of the Department of Lung Function at Wythenshawe Hospital, concurrently serving as a clinical tutor for Manchester Metropolitan University's Healthcare Science program.

She earned her BSc (Hons) in Healthcare Science (Respiratory and Sleep) from Manchester Metropolitan University, where she completed placements that led to her permanent role at Wythenshawe Hospital. Her educational foundation emphasized balancing academic rigor with practical clinical experience.

Her professional focus spans respiratory and sleep physiology, clinical diagnostics, and healthcare service leadership. She actively champions diversity in life sciences, drawing from her experience as a young Black Muslim woman overcoming industry barriers.
