Mr. Alex Perkins is a Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Science at Swansea University, affiliated with the School of Health and Social Care. He has extensive clinical experience in NHS services since 1997 and maintains an honorary clinical contract at Singleton Hospital. His teaching and supervision roles at Swansea University span over a decade, transitioning to a full-time academic role in 2017. His research focuses on sleep during pregnancy and respiratory health, conducted through Swansea University's Respiratory Network. As Chair of ARTP Wales, he advocates for Respiratory and Sleep Physiology's role in NHS policy and public awareness.
