Dr. Rodolfo Faistauer is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Director of the Piano Area at Whitman College, where he contributes to piano pedagogy and performance instruction. His international career as a performer and scholar bridges diverse musical traditions across Europe, North America, and South America.

Faistauer’s research focuses on piano literature, historical performance contexts, and Brazilian composers. His recent projects include an artistic residency at the Brahms Museum (Germany), a documentary film collaboration on Artur Schnabel (ARTE Berlin), and the first Portuguese translation of the Liszt-Pädagogium. His recording of Hugues Dufourt’s Meeresstille received acclaim from the Académie Charles Cros (French Recording Academy) and European radio stations.
