Brass Lecturer Randall Hawes is a retired bass trombonist from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (1985-2020) and currently teaches at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. He has also served as a guest bass trombonist with the Cleveland Orchestra (2020-2024) and performed with prestigious ensembles like the World Orchestra for Peace and Saito-Kinen Orchestra.
