Robert Tate is Senior Scholar and Director of the Manitoba Follow-up Study (MFUS) in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba's Max Rady College of Medicine. His research examines cardiovascular epidemiology, aging trajectories, and chronic disease patterns using longitudinal data from Canada's longest-running prospective study.
MFUS research has evolved from its 1948 focus on cardiovascular health in RCAF recruits to encompass chronic disease epidemiology, healthy aging metrics, and end-of-life functionality. Tate's work has produced over 170 peer-reviewed publications spanning health policy, gerontology, and clinical medicine.
