David Jacobs is the Mayo Professor of Public Health in the Division of Epidemiology & Community Health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Mathematics from Hofstra University.
Research Interests: His work focuses on cardiovascular and chronic disease epidemiology, nutritional epidemiology, and biostatistics. Specific areas include dietary patterns and chronic disease, diabetes, periodontal disease, physical activity measurement, lung function, blood pressure, and the implications of low serum cholesterol. Additional expertise spans aging, genetics, biomarkers, and public health equity.
