Dr. Robert P Chayer is an Associate Professor and Chief in the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is affiliated with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Children's Wisconsin Clinics. His clinical practice focuses on adolescent and child psychiatry, with specialization in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and foster care-related mental health issues.
Education: MD from Rush Medical College (1987), followed by residency and fellowship training in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He served as Chief Resident during his psychiatry residency.
Research interests include trauma treatment in foster care populations and psychiatric care for children in vulnerable systems.
