Richard S. Keating, Ph.D., serves as an Adjunct Professor at The Citadel's School of Engineering in the Engineering Leadership and Program Management department. He joined The Citadel faculty in August 2020 and has maintained faculty positions at his alma mater since 2018, teaching the two-course leadership track in the MS in Project Management program.
Dr. Keating earned his BA in English from The Citadel, followed by an M.A. in English from the University of South Carolina, an MBA from the University of South Dakota, and a Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
With expertise spanning leadership development and project management, Dr. Keating's research interests focus on organizational leadership within military and academic contexts. His extensive career includes teaching at the US Air Force Academy as an instructor and assistant professor, serving as Dean of Graduate Studies at New England College, and working as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at Western New England University.
