Dr. Richard Gonzales is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Connecticut's Neag School of Education. He serves as Director of Educational Leadership Preparation Programs and leads the $5.45 million UConn University Principal Preparation Initiative funded by the Wallace Foundation.
His research focuses on leadership development, principal preparation, equity issues in education, urban education, and school improvement. His publications examine educational leadership, policy implementation, and program evaluation.
Dr. Gonzales holds a PhD and M.Ed in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.S. in Applied Learning and Development from the same institution.
