Resham Matharu

Dr Resham Matharu serves as a Lecturer in Clinical and Communication Skills at the Institute of Health Sciences Education, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. He holds the dual role of Trust Liaison Lead and organizer of the annual Summer Conference, fostering collaboration between central university staff and hospital trust educational fellows to advance medical education practices.

His research focuses on optimizing professional dialogue among healthcare educators to drive evidence-based curriculum development. This work directly informs his teaching of clinical and communication skills to medical undergraduates, where he employs experiential learning methodologies and serves as a regular examiner in clinical assessments.

Resham leads the Trust Liaison Program that connects QMUL with NHS hospital trusts, establishing standardized educational frameworks across clinical settings. He also directs the Clinical Skills Centre's community sedation initiatives, leveraging his anaesthetic background to provide procedural sedation for minor interventions while maintaining strong community healthcare partnerships.
